RECYCLE
Plastic is a major threat to marine life. Plastic bags can easily be mistaken as jellyfish, the sole source of food of the endangered leatherback turtle. Bags, bottles, cans, lids and straws all pose a danger to our turtles, birds and fish. Protect our waters and our marine life by properly disposing of all waste.
Hazardous Waste Recycling
Any material or substance that is potentially damaging to the environment and harmful to humans and other living organisms is considered a hazardous waste and should never be disposed of curbside.
If disposed of improperly, these products can contaminate our waterways and fragile drinking water supply, damage septic tanks and wastewater systems, and injure sanitation workers.
Martin County residents can bring hazardous waste to the Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Center for FREE disposal.
